My Dogo Argentino loves to chew. I have tried hard rubber of all sorts and all were destroyed. He destroys all ropes or anything that squeaks! I purchased a hard plastic egg shaped ball but when he could not chew on it, he discontinued all interest in it. I tried the hard rubber tire and he completely ignores it. While kneecaps and hooves are a great alternative, they can get really expensive.
Finally, I purchased Nylabone large with rotating end and bacon flavor. This has been difficult to find. I found this at walmart for around $9.00. I have since purchased two more of them because it seems to last a couple months. I highly recommend trying this Nylabone. You won't regret with this much durability!!!

The middle green area above in the picture is rubber. Of course, my Dogo destroyed every piece of rubber on it within 20 minutes. However, there is still "nylabone" underneath!!!! We shall see how this one sustains against my beast. Hope this helps you if you have an aggressive chewer like mine.
